「compound …化合物だから。ええと。。」と単語を連想をしようとしたが文脈からは全く想像もつかないものだった。「化合物」の他にも別の意味があった。
compound : 東洋にある囲いのある屋敷
これは、西洋では mansion に当たるようだ。ニュース記事の中には、compound の代わりに mansion （大邸宅、屋敷）も使っている記事もあった。
