ちょっと気づきにくいのだが、reddit という Social Bookmark サイトの記事の投稿が話題になっていた。
赤枠で囲われている、上の記事と下の記事の対比を見て。。世の中、何かがおかしい。というものだ。
上の記事
「AIG executive sentenced to 4 years in prison $500M fraud」
AIG の役員が、5億万ドルの詐欺で、4年の判決。（memo : sentence は、求刑では無く。判決。の意味。）
下の記事
「Homeless man gets 15 years for stealing $100. He said that he was homeless and hungry and left the bank. The next day he surrendered to the police voluntarily and told that his mother didn't raise him that way」
ホームレスの男性が、銀行で100ドルを盗んで逃走。翌日に自ら出頭した。15年の罪。男性は、ホームレスでおなかが空いていたのでやってしまった。自分の母親は自分を強盗をするように育ててはいなかったのに、強盗をしてしまった。。申し訳ない。と語る。（意訳）
しかも下のホームレースは、銀行員が差し出したお金のうち、100ドルだけ取って、残りは窓口の係員に返したのち逃走したとある。
法律って何か変だなぁ。と思わせる記事だった。
